Description

In this presentation, Professor Andy Doherty FREng, Chief Technology Officer at Global Centre of Rail Excellence, will provide an update on the progress with the Global Centre of Rail Excellence (GCRE) site and the emerging and evolving business case for the facility. This will include how GCRE proposes to operate the site and how a typical system will be developed, tested and ultimately, verified and certified. 

The Global Centre of Rail Excellence will be a purpose-built site for world class research, testing and certification of rolling stock, infrastructure and innovative new rail technologies that will fill a gap, not just in UK rail, but across Europe.
