It will then dive deeper into some of the specific recent rail-related research activity supported by British Steel, focusing on case studies around rail/wheel contact, grinding of premium rails, and lateral resistance of steel sleepers. It will finish by highlighting the value of sponsored research in bringing skills into the industry
