Description
Additive Manufacturing (AM or 3D Printing) in Ireland is evolving rapidly, supported by a strong national manufacturing base and a well-developed research and innovation ecosystem. Ireland’s manufacturing sector remains one of the core engines of the economy, with world-class operations and expanding high-tech capabilities, providing the ideal ground for AM adoption.
But who is currently adopting the technology, how are they going about it and what do they use this technology to enable?
The benefits that AM can offer speak for themselves however they do not come without challenges! Supporting this adoption is the rapidly developing standards landscape which is allowing for more and more applications to be realised particularly in heavily regulated industries.
Our presenters will discuss
The additive manufacturing landscape in Ireland
Drivers for growth of AM in Ireland
Challenges and Opportunities
The future of AM in Ireland
Standards in AM
