Health and engineering are allies for change in the 17 Spanish autonomous communities with this 42nd AEIH - Asociación Española de Ingeniería Hospitalaria congress that is being held in Malaga until this Friday, October 10.

On the table were such important issues as the promotion and consolidation of the resident engineer to make the great technological leap towards healthcare that is easily accessible to all, as well as innovation in healthcare infrastructures that meet the needs of all areas of care, from Emergencies or Primary Care to Oncology or Surgery, and that these meet the sustainability and efficiency objectives of the Canary Islands, of the rest of Spain and the European Union.

Luis Talavera, as vice-president of the Spanish Association of Hospital Engineering, is pleased with this annual meeting in which we enrich ourselves by analysing innovation in healthcare engineering, a speciality that we choose for our vocation of service to develop our full personal and professional potential.
