Join the IMechE Switzerland Group for a technical visit to KVA Winterthur, where up to 200,000 tonnes of waste each year are converted into heat and electricity. Explore the full waste-to-energy process, from waste handling and combustion at around 950°C to steam generation, district heating, flue-gas cleaning and wastewater treatment, and see mechanical, thermal and environmental engineering in action.
