Having given a presentation on the BIQ building at the 2015 Annual General Meeting (AGM), IMechE Germany Group member Ewan McLeod has kindly organised a visit to this unique bio-reactor building in Hamburg.

The BIQ Building includes a novel bioreactor facade to produce energy and represents the state of the art in energy efficient building technology.  Further information is attached and also may be found at:

Ewan is Associate Director Advanced Building Engineering for ARUP in Berlin and has been responsible for the engineering underpinning the BIQ concept.

The visit to the BIQ building (Am Inselpark 17, 21109 Hamburg) will commence at 11:00 and this will be followed up with the Germany Group AGM at a nearby office meeting room (Überseeallee 1, Hamburg).
