Description
All members of the IMechE Germany Group are invited to attend the Annual General Meeting (AGM), which will take place on Monday 17 March 2014.
The event will be hosted by Raymond Hodgkinson CEng MIMechE, Honorary Chair of the Germany Group, at the headquarters of Messer Group GmbH, Messer-Platz 1, 65812 Bad Soden from 14:00 to 18:00.
The event will be attended by Ms Jane Sidebottom, Senior Adviser to UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) on secondment from the UK Foreign Office. Jane is currently leading a project for UKTI to determine ways to improve cooperation between German and UK manufacturing industry and will lead a discussion prior to the AGM seeking input from the IMechE Germany Group. This is a rare opportunity for members to influence UK government policy.
The AGM itself is scheduled to start at 16:00, the draft agenda for which is as follows:
- Adoption of the agenda
- Approval of minutes of previous AGM
- Annual report including Young Members report
- Annual accounts
- Review of Germany Group constitution
- Programme for 2014
- Agenda items raised by members
- Election of new committee
Any member who wishes to place an item on the agenda may do so providing notice is given by email to GermanySec@imechenetwork.org by Friday 7 March.
