In this talk, Dr Parsa will discuss common types and causes of hearing loss (e.g. hearing loss due to aging, noise‐induced hearing loss, etc.). He will then review the current hearing aid and assistive listening device landscape. In particular, he will
talk about the current state‐of‐the‐art technologies in hearing aids, and the benefits/pitfalls associated with amplification devices available over‐the‐counter or through e‐commerce sites such as Amazon.
