Dr Binder Singh is Discipline Lead at Forsys-Subsea (Technip USA), Houston, Texas. His main interests are corrosion, materials performance and mechanical integrity management. Binder has over 35 years offshore/marine experience in the UK North Sea and the Gulf of Mexico
He holds a BEng in Mechanical Engineering from Liverpool University, England; and MSc, PhD in corrosion from the University of Manchester, England. A Chartered Engineer, and Texas licensed professional engineer, he is also a Fellow of IMechE and IMarEST, and General company expert within the Technip College of Experts system. He served as Chairman of the IMechE Texas Branch (2013-2015) and is currently past Chair/Advisor. He is also a Professional Member of Engineers without Borders (EWB).
Interests outside work are reading, travel and History (primarily British, USA, and India)
Claims to fame: He was once ‘rejected’ by Coventry City FC (under 18’s) and thereafter turned to Engineering as a consolation prize! Historically always an avid Manchester United fan!
