Welcome to the Midlands Centre of the Railway Division

As your new Chairman I would like to welcome you all to our programme for 2025, and then into 2026.

We will continue to hold all of our meetings as 'live' events, as we believe that this provides the best opportunity for attendees to network with their industry colleagues.

For this year we are starting our meetings at the same time of 17:00 for teas and coffees with the lectures starting at 17:30 prompt.

We will once again be using East Midlands Railway's Locomotive house for our lectures, with lectures associated with other bodies being advertised accordingly.

As always, the committee and I would like to receive any feedback you may have regarding the lectures we have planned.

Golden Valley Light Railway Guest Evening

Golden Valley Light Railway - Ripley

The Golden Valley Light Railway has invited members of the IMechE Midlands Centre to their Guest Evening. Guests will be able to visit the workshops, operate some locomotives under supervision and take a steam hauled train ride along the line. The event is free to attend although donations to the GVLR are always welcome.
