James Collinson the new RD Chairman will present his address entitled: 'Dots and Boxes: What railway engineers can learn from this strategy game!’

The address will examine how, as engineers, we need to make connections and networks across the industry; highlighting some catalysts that inspire step change, pushing us outside the boxes we may have created for ourselves. The address will also look at what the Railway Division should focus on to broaden the horizons of our engineers and engineering organisations as we move to meet the challenges we face on the journey to becoming Great Britain’s Railway.

James Collinson is Network Rail's Head of Design - South East James graduated in 1992 (Sheffield) Mech Eng and joined British Rail. In 2000 he moved to Peterborough to start his career in the infrastructure side of the industry. In 2011 he established the Network Certification Body (NCB).
