The Peterborough Joint Panel, formed in 1973, represents approximately 1,200 members of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, the IET (Institution of Engineering and Technology), and the IMarEST (Institute of Marine Engineering, Science and Technology) in the Greater Peterborough and surrounding areas. The annual programme of events covers a wide range of technology related subjects and is designed to provide something of interest to as many local engineers as possible. The PJP, in conjunction with the Young Engineers, also actively promotes engineering in schools through the Science and Engineering Ambassadors programme.
