This year’s Golden Valley Light Railway (GVLR) Guest Evening is being held on Wednesday 24th June. The event starts at 18.00 and finishes at about 21.00. It is held on the narrow gauge GVLR at the Swanwick Junction site of the Midland Railway Trust. There will be several diesel and battery locomotives available for driving. Light refreshments of tea and cakes will be available. This is very much a family evening with all but the youngest children getting a chance to drive, under close supervision. Please bring any family with you who may be interested. Part way through the evening, at approximately 19.00, we will operate a passenger train the full length of the railway from Butterley Park Station to Newlands Station and return.
