Area Committee
The Area Committee strives to arrange a programme of events which both interest the IMechE membership and stimulate awareness of engineering's role in society at large; with the long term aim of encouraging young people to follow rewarding engineering careers. Success depends greatly on the knowledge and experience of members of the Committee. New Committee members bring new experience and fresh ideas.  Therefore, any IMechE member who feels they could spare some time to further the work of this entirely volunteer run Committee are invited to approach our Chairman or Secretary, who can explain what is involved. Membership of the committee is formalised annually at the Area AGM, with nominations submitted beforehand. However, IMechE members can be co-opted on to the committee at any time; or may first attend a committee meeting as an observer. 

Membership Involvement in Area Activities
Members suggestions for the furtherance of IMechE and its aims and objectives in the Norfolk & Waveney Area are welcome. Please submit these to the Area Secretary, Ben Lawson (preferably by email) so that they may be addressed in committee and/or at the AGM as appropriate.
