The local heat of the IOM3 Young Persons Lecture Competition.

Entrants will give a 15 minute presentation on a subject of their choice related to any aspect of Materials, Minerals, Mining, Packaging, Clay Technology, and Wood Science Engineering. Entrants must be aged 28 or under on 1 June 2016. Further details including the criteria against which presentations will be judged can be found at www.iom3.org/yplc

The winner of the Cambridge heat will receive £100 cash on the night (further cash prizes will be awarded for 2nd and 3rd place) and progress to the South East Regional Final. The regional winner will again receive a £150 prize and a place in the National Final to be held at The Armourers' Hall, London, on Wednesday 20th April 2016. Success at the national level receives a prize of £750 and an all expenses paid trip to the World Final in Brazil.
