Ventilators in a Crisis - lessons in collaboration

Talk Details: How do diverse companies from China to the UK come together to create, develop and manufacture ventilators from-scratch in record time? And whilst they weren't required, what legacy might it leave for Engineering in the UK? Harry will describe how the novel ventilator development came about, the characteristics of collaboration, component selection and design approaches which enabled such fast development.

LEX Diagnostics is TTP's latest spin-out, commercialising a rapid, low-cost diagnostic test for influenza to be used in primary care settings. LEX enables easy, fast triage tests to enable doctors to provide the right treatment for patients and reduce the time required in hospitals and GP surgeries.


Time: AGM starts at 19:00.  Talk starts at 19:30. Ends following questions by 21:00.

Harry Bullivant is Director of Operations at LEX Diagnostics, a spin-out from TTP. He has led the part sourcing and supply chain development of TTP's ventilator for the Government CoVent project. He has also run a range of technology development projects covering bioplastics to touchless interfaces.
