An overview will be given of Britain’s new high-speed railway – High Speed Two – connecting London and Birmingham, some of the key civil engineering aspects, and the challenges with the construction of the line. They will also discuss the specification, design and construction of the high-speed rolling stock and Washwood Heath Depot in Birmingham, highlighting some of the engineering and technical integration challenges that come with a major infrastructure project.
