Vogel R3D is a world leading UAV system developed by Plowman Craven and based upon 50+ years of photogrammetry experience and Europe’s first user and developer of laser scanning in the survey industry. This system will be used to rapidly capture high intensity aerial imagery which is converted to point cloud data from which a wide range of added value deliverables can be extracted.

Sanders have long been used in GB Rail, where sand is dispensed from the train to improve train traction and braking performance in low adhesion conditions.
A recent comprehensive programme of track testing has determined the benefits that could be achieved by:
• Variable-rate sanding (i.e. higher sand flow rates at higher speeds), and
• Distributed sanding (i.e. multiple sanders distributed along the train).
