Join us at the Institution of Mechanical Engineers for an exciting STEM training workshop delivered by the National STEM Learning Network.

Who are STEM Ambassadors and what do they do?

STEM Ambassadors are volunteers from a wide range of science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) related jobs and interests. Aged 17 upwards, they offer their time and enthusiasm to bring STEM subjects to life for young people and help demonstrate their value.

The programme operates nationally and there are more than 3000 STEM Ambassadors across London. They engage and inspire by working with schools and other organisations supporting a variety of activities including assemblies, lessons, STEM clubs, careers activities and large events and fairs.

Further information about STEM Ambassadors can be found here.

About the STEM training

The STEM Training Workshop looks at the challenges faced by STEM ambassadors when delivering STEM activities and would help develop skills to best overcome them. The day aims to inform how being a STEM ambassador would aid your continuous professional development and support your application for professional registration.

Find out also what schools outreach activities are being  carried out by the IMechE GLR YMP, tools available from the institution and how you can get involved.

Food and drinks will be provided.
