Join us for another fascinating and fun filled evening at the UK Head Quarters of Mechanical Engineers.

You will be enthralled by two eminent guest speakers; Air Commodore Paul Lloyd (RAF) on "Autonomous Flight" and Dr. Thrishantha Nanayakkara (Imperial College) on "AI and Robotics".

You can then mingle with other guests to do your own Tinkering at following zones:

  • Bloodhound zone with mini-theatre for videos and lecture. The zone will have a Bloodhound balloon-car building and racing stall and a Bloodhound high pressure rocket-car building and racing stall  
  • RAF zone staffed by Air Cadets and supported by the IMechE UAS Challenge for drone experiments
  • Imperial College zone with Artificial Intelligence (AI) applied to a Robotic Hand
  • Royal Aeronautical Society zone with a wind tunnel, aerodynamic experiments and model aeroplane building
  • Railway Engineering Zone with a trainset to demonstrate impact of track geometry · IET zone for electrical circuit design
  • 3D printing zone  
  • Kingston University zone with Lego robots and controllers
  • A Careers Zone: IMechE, RAF, Aero Engineering, Rolls Royce
  • Rolls-Royce Aero zone with Engine Tinkering

Light refreshments at 17:30 with stalls open from 18:00 till 21:30.
