Description

This presentation will cover the challenges faced by a track engineer when a new fleet of trains is introduced. You will hear about how a new train brings new challenges around managing ride quality, gauging, platform-train interface, conductor rail interface, train arrestors, and the wheel-rail interface.

Light refreshments will be available from 17:30 and the talk will start at 18:00. This is a hybrid meeting allowing attendance in person or online. The event will be hosted at RSSB offices which is near Liverpool Street station.

Booking is ESSENTIAL for in person attendance. Meeting joining instructions will be sent separately to tickets closer to the event.
