Description

Climate change, its solutions and their problems. Duration ~1.5 hrs + questions

 

· This talk gives brief overview of the understanding of climate science, its future predictions of climate change and how humanity can mitigate it together with the barriers preventing solutions.

· A critical overview of wind, solar and hydro energy, biomass energy, together with carbon capture.

· The options available on how the UK (and the rest of the world) could become carbon neutral. 

Speaker – David Sprake

David is a Senior Lecturer at Glyndwr University and programme leader for Renewable Energy Engineering.

Description of Event (inc if refreshments provided):

The talk will take place in the Nick Whitehead theatre at Glyndwr University (Mold Road, Wrexham, Wales. LL11 2AW).

The lecture theatre is located at the main entrance to the University. Car parking is available at the main entrance.

The talk will commence at 18.30 and Light Refreshments will be available from 18.00.
