Introducing Marine Energy in North Wales

Join us for an introduction to the current and future opportunities for the marine energy sector in North Wales. Local tidal and offshore wind energy device developers - Minesto, Nova Innovation and RWE - along with Marine Energy Wales will present on current and future projects they are developing in North Wales and what this means for you. They will then be joined by Morlais, Holyhead Port Authority and the Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult’s Marine Energy Engineering Centre of Excellence to form a panel hosted by the IMechE and discuss questions submitted by the audience.

Key speakers – 40 mins

There will be 4 key speakers each with a 10 minute slot. The key speakers will be three technology developers and a speaker from Marine Energy Wales.

These 10 minute slots should provide an overview of projects in North Wales, consenting, environmental impact and community involvement.

Panel Discussion – 15mins

The key speakers will join an additional three experts in marine energy to form a panel and have a discussion prompted by one or two pre-determined questions. The pre-determined questions will be given to you in advance of the event, if you have any suggestions for questions please pass them on to myself.

Q&A – 25mins

A chance for the audience to ask the panellists questions.
