Most Improved Apprentice Award

The Institution’s Vision of "Improving the world through engineering" will only be achieved if we have sufficient appropriately educated and trained engineers.

Our efforts to recognise exceptional engineering students such as those below, allows us to demonstrate the key role that engineers play in society, making major contributions to our health, wealth, security plus encouraging further young people to select engineering as a very worthwhile and rewarding professional career.

Each year the Merseside & North Wales Region is, therefore, delighted to recognise the efforts of some of the region most deserving students and apprentices, by awarding them with the Merseyside and North Wales title of 'Most Improved Student'.

2011 Award

In 2011 over 150 students and apprentices participated in the scheme. As a result of achieving distinction grade in all aspects of their work the following students/colleges have been selected for an award by the Merseyside & North Wales panel.

All four students demonstrated an intense desire to succeed in engineering, have the full support of their trainers and their relevant companies as outstanding students, fully deserving of IMechE recognition.
