The presentation will explore how the Product Innovation Centre at Nottingham Trent University is advancing sustainable built environment technologies through cross-disciplinary research and the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI). 

Through a series of case studies, it will showcase innovations in building insulation, carbon footprint assessment, indoor air quality evaluation, intelligent rainwater harvesting, renewable energy systems and heat pump technology. 

Modern built environments demand a holistic, systems-level approach, with AI playing a pivotal role as an enabling technology. From rapid design optimisation and predictive performance modelling to system optimisation and efficiency improvements, 

AI empowers researchers and practitioners to accelerate innovation and deliver measurable sustainability outcomes. 

The presentation will highlight collaborative projects between the Product Innovation Centre and its research partners, demonstrating how emerging technologies and applied research are shaping resilient, future-focused solutions in an evolving and complex technological landscape.
