Description
Heat, Light, Power and Water define our way of
living. Their natural forms existed long before life
arrived on this planet.
This presentation tracks how man has learned to
control each in turn, and adapt them to his use.
We look at how he then needed to defend himself
against the consequences of his eventual success.
From prehistoric hominids, through homo erectus
and thence to the more refined forms of homo
sapiens, we trace his faltering steps into the
Age of Enlightenment.
The ancient elements of Earth, Fire, Air and Water
became transformed into a modern world of
wonder, driven by the great philosophers and
practical polymaths of the 17th & 18th centuries.
