A joint IMechE and CIArb event focusing on the role of an expert witness when involved in dispute resolution in the engineering and construction sectors.
The lecture will provide guidance to technical professionals who may be called to act as an expert in tribunals, for example what is considered good conduct and what pitfalls to avoid when giving expert opinion.

Speaker Biography:
Keith Blizzard is a chartered arbitrator, a chartered quantity surveyor and a non-solicitor partner with Harrison Clark Rickerbys' construction and engineering team. His clients include main contractors, sub-contractors, architects, developers and private individuals.
His experience includes acting in the roles of a construction adjudicator, an independent expert quantity surveyor, a single joint expert quantity surveyor and an independent expert Forensic Surveyor.
Keith is an active CIArb member with roles in the West Midlands branch and the West Midlands Arbitration Club, being past chairman of both organisations.
In addition to his work as a practitioner, Keith lectures at numerous universities both in the UK and abroad, as well teaching on the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors Expert Witness Certificate course.
