Microsoft Teams* meeting details will be provided to those who book. Note - we will not record this event for copyright reasons at the request of the speaker.

This talk mirrors Rod Dean's previous talks on the Spitfire and Hunter - it covers development, construction and use of the outstanding de Havilland Mosquito and all its variants.

Operational use of the Mosquito is touched on but mainly to emphasise how the development of the aircraft enabled its use in many different roles.

Despite a very difficult start in life - the Mosquito was very nearly cancelled - the aircraft went on to be 'the most successful and versatile aircraft of the Second World War.'

Join us to find out how Rod justifies that claim. Over approx. two hours, the talk includes a number of videos to illustrate aspects of the Mosquito's development.

* - despite what it says under 'Address' and with apologies to those who prefer Zoom, IMechE have recently provided local committees with MS Teams accounts for purposes such as this; the process of joining a Teams meeting is fairly similar to that for Zoom and some guidance will be included in the circulation of meeting details.
