Marginal gains in aerodynamics (Coventry & online)
Technical lecture

Description
In high performance sport and engineering, winning often comes down to the finest of margins. In this presentation, Dr Nash Vracas examines how small, incremental improvements in fluid dynamics can combine to deliver substantial performance gains.
Drawing on real world projects with elite athletes and leading automotive manufacturers, Nash illustrates how optimising every detail, from an athlete’s body position to the design of vehicles, can yield a decisive advantage.
Through a focus on practical application and case studies, the session highlights how a systematic, marginal gains approach enables engineers and athletes alike to push the boundaries of performance and efficiency.
