Description

Dr Adam Read
Dr Read will reflect on the portfolio of significant policy reforms reshaping the resources & waste sector, including the plastics tax, extended producer responsibility (EPR), deposit return schemes (DRS) and consistent collections from households and businesses alike. He considers what these reforms will mean for the sector and how it will need to evolve in the next 5, 10 and 20 years to contribute effectively to both a green recovery and net zero carbon agenda.

This revolution in services, infrastructure and performance will need a rapidly adaptive workforce and a resources & waste sector that is more attractive to recruits at all levels, so what are the professional bodies doing to position the sector and their core competencies at the heart of the green economic recovery?

This event is held jointly with the IoP and the IET, please book tickets at the following link:  https://localevents.theiet.org/6b9d5f
