    THE TRANSPORT MUSEUM - BIRMINGHAM
    A guided tour of the Wythall Transport Museum, which houses an extensive collection of buses, coaches and battery electric vehicles. The bus collection includes examples from Midland Red, WMPTE, and corporation fleets from Birmingham, Walsall, West Bromwich and Wolverhampton. The museum is home to a large collection of over 30 battery electric road vehicles

    In November 1957 The Skylark sounding rocket was the first British rocket to reach space, and became the basis of Britain’s earliest space programme. Hundreds were fired, launching into space thousands of scientific instruments This talk tells the story of that space rocket, from its origins in the 1950s, until its last launch in 2005.
