This event has finished
Description
This is a Joint Event with the Engineering 4 Health Research at Aston University
Lecture Description
Cardiac imaging has always been a challenging procedure and the introduction of new technologies like CT Photon counting, Bio-matrix and high-performance gradients is rapidly changing the hearth imaging.
Prof Mirarchi will discuss photon counting technology in CT that offers the possibility of superb spatial resolution with monoenergetic selective imaging as well as Dual Source CT. Prof Mirarchi will also present Cardiac MRI, which, with the aid of powerful gradient, is now performed with BioMatrix Beat Sensor without conventional ECG trigger, free-breathing and in-line motion correction.
