Railway Division North Eastern Centre
The Centre’s aim is to provide a relaxed informative forum which enables people to keep abreast of developments within the Rail Industry, expand their network of contacts and explore new interests.
To achieve this, the Centre organises a range of events including presentations, papers, lectures and discussion forums on a wide variety of topics including local, national and international developments. These events are always of interest and where possible hot off the press and topical. When the pandemic allows again, we will also have some technical visits.
Our events are open to all – not just people in the Railway Industry.
Where
Normally, our events would rotate around the principal railway centres in the North East of England, i.e. Leeds, York, Doncaster and Newcastle, with the objective of broadening access. However, due to the current pandemic, all events for the foreseeable future will be virtual. As soon as this changes, this site will be updated.
When
Our virtual meetings start at 1830.
Who
The North Eastern Centre committee consists of a mixture of working and retired people from different areas across the rail industry. We all have one common passion – to share and drive the engineering developments within the railway industry.
