Welcome to the Tyne and Wear Area

We are an active committee within the North East IMechE. Our focus is to bring together our engineers from different disciplines and backgrounds from within our area with the aim of promoting and encouraging local membership to participate in activities that enhance and promote Mechanical Engineering to the benefit of engineers and our community.

Having said all that, we have recently been working hard to update our site and organise events and activities for members in the area. I hope you find what we are doing of interest and if you would like to attend any of our events or would like any further information please don’t hesitate to contact either myself or any of the committee members.

This is your local IMechE panel and we are always on the lookout for new ideas and new people to get involved. Please take a look at upcoming events listed below in our Events Diary.
