What will the event cover?

Join the IMechE Tyne and Wear Committee for an engaging visit to YASKAWA, where you will explore the role of robotics and automation in modern manufacturing.

The event will begin with a technical presentation covering:

• YASKAWA’s robotics technologies and industrial applications Robotic welding and automated material-handling systems
• How automation can improve productivity, quality, safety and repeatability
• The challenges involved in introducing robotics into manufacturing environments
• The skills and engineering expertise required to design, integrate and maintain automated systems

This will be followed by a guided tour of the facility. The tour will bring the technology to life through demonstrations of robotic welding and material-handling equipment. Attendees will have the opportunity to see robots operating in real time, understand how they interact with other equipment and processes, and learn how engineers develop, programme and support automation solutions.

There will also be opportunities to ask questions, discuss real-world applications and explore how robotics is influencing the future of engineering and manufacturing in the North East
