The Tyne Tees AD Panel are leading a 2 day event at the Blyth STEM Hub to help deliver STEM Education to two Blyth based primary schools. This is in support of a major program in the region for STEM Outreach, and ensuring young students are well equipped to make future decisions regarding STEM and Engineering careers

The event will involve one primary school with around 40 Year 5/6 students split into sub teams. Teams will rotate though sessions that involve the building of a Greenpower Goblin2 electric powered race car from scratch, including the body work, and through other STEM lessons involving better understanding and experimentation covering topics such as friction, forces, materials, gears, and electricity generation.

We are seeking  Science and Engineering based volunteers to help deliver the sessions. Minimum requirement is 2 hours volunteer time to be able to deliver one of the sessions, but if volunteers can give more time this is welcome also. Information will be given prior to the event.

If you wish to help with this event  or  you wish to observe it and see what we are doing or have further questions to help decide on any participation please register for the event and email Mike Lambert at
