Description

The IMechE Tyne & Wear Committee would like to invite all prospective members to this 'Get Registered' seminar to learn the ins and outs of becoming professionally registered (CEng/IEng/EngTech) Member of the IMechE. The event is for engineers of all levels, whether you are just thinking of becoming chartered, or if you already have some years of experience and want to learn more about the Chartership process.

Denis Healy (IMechE Business Development Manager) will present the registration process and be on-hand to answer any specific registration questions. The presentation will not only de-mystify and dispel some of the myths that surround the Professional Registration process but will also address other key areas such as:

● Why is Professional Registration important?

● What are the different grades of membership (Chartered Engineer, Incorporated Engineer, Engineering Technician)?

● Explaining the 5 competencies detailed in UKSpec that are required for Professional Registration and how they are manifest in the world of work.

● How you go about demonstrating that you have achieved the competencies?

● The academic benchmarks for each grade of membership where applicable.

● The benefits of IMechE membership
