Marine engines face major challenges in reducing harmful emissions due to high combustion temperatures, reliance on heavy fossil fuels, and strict international regulations. In this online lecture Dr Ajith will focus on his ongoing research on the prospects of Ammonia in decarbonising Marine Engines.

Dr. Ajith Ambalakatte serves as a Research Fellow within the Powertrain Research Group at the University of Nottingham. With over five years of expertise in the application of sustainable fuels in internal combustion engines, Ajith has contributed significantly to several high-profile projects
