Description

Anyone who has driven past Sellafield Ltd. site will recognise its distinctive skyline. This iconic skyline is now undergoing a process of great change. The First Generation Reprocessing Plant Stack was constructed and commissioned in the 1950s and has stood ever since, but not for much longer.

Come and hear Innis talk about an innovative solution for demolishing a stack on what is one of the most congested industrial sites in the UK. Innis will talk about the principles behind the stack climber, how it climbs and grips the stack, how problems faced and solutions generated have contributed to the success of the stack demolition project, an industry first.

This event counts towards CPD for all professionally registered engineers.
