Threlkeld Quarry is run by volunteers as a museum which includes; exhibits about the history and significance of the quarry, displaying artefacts, plans and photographic records, a guided tour of the quarry site and its own narrow-gauge railway. Threlkeld Quarry is also the home of the Vintage Excavator Trust. The visit will include a guided tour of the quarry, museum and vintage excavators by a representative of the museum, followed by a ride on the railway

The role of the YM Panel is to put on events for young and aspiring engineers. We also help promote engineering to young people in the local area. Our monthly panel meetings are where these events are discussed and organised. This month is also the panel AGM where elections to committee positions for the forthcoming year are held.
