Description

Applicants for professional registration need to demonstrate engineering knowledge and understanding to Masters level for CEng and Bachelors level for IEng before they can apply for CEng or IEng.

However, it’s possible for experienced engineers without the necessary academic qualifications to demonstrate this knowledge through their career experience.

They do this through a written assessment process called Career Learning Assessment. (CLA)

The CLA process enables people without formal Masters and Bachelors degrees to achieve CEng and IEng status.

Am I eligible to attend?
We will liaise with you to confirm whether you are eligible for CLA, and invite you to complete our CLA Stage 1 form to confirm your eligibility in advance of attending the webinar. Our expert team can answer your queries at this stage.

While this can vary as everyone’s application/experience is individual to them - we would normally say you need at least 7+ years good relevant experience to be able to demonstrate work based learning to Masters level for CEng; 5+ years Bachelors level learning for IEng.

Why attend this course?
This course has been designed to help you through each of the CLA questions and paperwork; preparing you for the submission of your CLA Stage 2. After this stage of the process, if successful, you will then be able to progress to preparing your application for Incorporated or Chartered Engineer.

Our Business Development team can offer you all the guidance and advice you need to progress with your career development.

Course outcomes
By the end of this course you will be able to compose answers to the CLA questions at Stage 2 (you will have completed Stage 1 in advance). We will also cover your next steps towards registration.

18th November 1pm – 3pm CLA 2 (Q1 & Q2)

19th November 1pm – 3pm CLA 2 (Remainder of Application)
