During the first weeks of the COVID-19 pandemic, 3D printing was at the forefront of efforts to address a range of problems worldwide. Stephen McEvoy CEng MIMechE talks about the innovative response to the pandemic, and discusses other areas in which Engineers can work together, to create novel solutions to pressing issues.

This talk is free and open to all.

Stephen McEvoy recently gained CEng status with the IMechE and graduated with MSc in Mech Eng from Lancaster in 2019. He worked as a System Engineer at Sellafield Ltd. He has experience making PPE using 3D printers to assist with the pandemic.
