The IMechE Greater Manchester Young Members Panel invites you to attend an evening discussion with lineup of guest speakers on the topic of Advanced Manufacturing. This event will be an online talk on Wed 3rd May 2022 from 18:30 - 20:00 GMT. We welcome talks 3D360, Additive Manufacturing Solutions, and the University of Manchester, to discuss what are the cutting-edge innovations and technologies in our manufacturing industry.

Meet our speakers: 

Robert Higham – Director & CEO Additive Manufacturing Solutions Ltd. Robert Higham is a Chartered Engineer and has experience across academia, motorsport, space and aerospace. Robert was responsible for qualification of materials, processes and parts produced by additive manufacturing most recently for Airbus before creating Additive Manufacturing Solutions Ltd.

This event will provide a short overview of the key metal AM technologies and their core benefits. There will be further discussion on using metal SM technology and methods in industry and what to look out for in your industry.




Paul Bullock, Director, 3D 360 - Prior to forming 3D 360, Paul had spent much of his 30+ years in engineering in senior or lead consultant roles and within the nuclear sector and been involved in design and substantiation, manufacturing and compliance on some of the most complex nuclear decommissioning projects in Europe.

A look at the benefits of additive Manufacture and how it will reduce carbon emissions and play a key role on the road to Net Zero.

The talk involves, a brief introduction to high technologies and their industries. the impact of advanced manufacturing technologies like semiconductor manufacturing technology over the decade on the Manufacturing industry.
