We are looking for members!
The IMechE South Cumbria Young Members Panel is a group of professional engineers in the South Cumbria area who aim to support the development of Young Members in the area and assist with achieving the competencies required to attain Professional Registration with the IMechE, promote the engineering profession in the local area and work with schools and colleges to encourage students into STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) careers.
In addition to the more formal activities the Panel also aims to provide opportunities for engineers in the area to socialise outside of the workplace and meet like-minded people. Social events include day trips to engineering related sites, evening events including karting, meals out and our monthly panel meetings as well as more general networking events. We also have the 3rd year of our flagship STEM programme, IMechE ChampionShips 2016, starting soon!
As a relatively new panel we are keen to expand our membership so for more information, or to register your interest in getting involved please email Josh Bailey (South Cumbria Young Member Panel Chair).
