Description

As well as the station building and museum, the Downpatrick & County Down Railway also operates a preserved railway which runs for approximately 6.5 km between Downpatrick and Inch Abbey, with a steam and several diesel locomotives.

As the evening will a busy one attendees should arrive at the main station building for 6.30pm sharp.

The tour will include a visit to the small museum in the main station building, which is dedicated to the Belfast & County Down Railway (BCDR) and contains small exhibits and signalling items, the restored Bundoran Junction North signal cabin, a walk through the restoration workshop, a walk around the back of the site to the engine sheds and larger Kings Bog signal cabin and finally the main Carriage Gallery museum, where light refreshments will be served.

The AGM will take place after the tour in the fully restored BCDR Railmotor carriage.
