This event has finished

Following the success of the Electric and Hybrid Vehicle event held during the Region's Engineering Week back in October 2018, the Regional Committee has decided to put a similar event on, again in collaboration with the Charles Hurst Group, during the 2019 NI Science Festival.

The event will present an overview of the current state of Electric and Hybrid Vehicle Technology and potential future developments. The main points that will be discussed during the presentations are:

  • Growth in Sales of EV/Hybrid Vehicles
  • Decline in Diesel Sales
  • Popularity of different models
  • What’s new and upcoming in each brand for EV/Hybrid vehicles

For full details and to book Free admission to the event please go to the NI Science Festival Programme page at:

The IMechE's partner in staging this event is the Charles Hurst Group and a number of the Group Franchises. The Group now offers a wide selection of electric and hybrid vehicles to customers across Northern Ireland, encompassing a range of manufacturers and a variety of powertrains.
