During his second term as President of the Institution of Mechanical  Engineers, current President Tony Roche has committed to visiting all of the Institution’s Regions in the UK and Ireland. 



The Northern Ireland Regional Committee is therefore honoured and delighted to be able to welcome Tony on his visit to Northern Ireland and to host an evening during which he will address the Region’s Membership.

 

In his Address he will focus on engineering and innovation and the role that engineering plays in serving the wider society.

 

Following the Address there will be an opportunity for posing questions and entering into discussion.

 

Light refreshments will be served from 6pm, proceedings commencing at 6:30pm.

 

 

 

Speaker(s)

Tony Roche is a career railway engineer who held many senior management posts in British Rail. He was President of the Institution in 2001/2, is a Fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering, a Member of the Smeatonian Society of Civil Engineers & Past Master of the Worshipful Company of Engineers.
