During this session, Sandra will provide a brief overview of the process to gain IEng or CEng and then answer a variety of the questions that we regularly receive including:

  • Why do I need to undergo Academic Review?
  • What happens after my application form is submitted?
  • Does work done during a PhD count as work experience?
  • Who should be approving/signing off my application in my company?
  • How many projects should I concentrate on when demonstrating each of the competencies?
  • What happens if there are no professionally registered engineers at my place of work?
  • Can I apply for professional registration if I am between jobs?
  • How is confidentiality respected?
  • How do I get my draft application reviewed?
  • What happens if I have a disability eg hearing loss?
  • Does experience outside of the workplace count as evidence of meeting the requirements?
  • How should I record CPD?

Come along and learn how we answer these queries. If you have a question not covered in the list above, please get in touch and we can add it - mdm@imeche.org.
