Scottish Region Website

WELCOME TO THE SCOTTISH REGION

This is site used to provide you with information about the events organised throughout the Region by our enthusiastic committees in Glasgow, Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Inverness, Dundee (Tayside & North Fife) and Thurso.

Where possible, we try to align our events with the IMechE’s strategic objective - Develop Engineers, Promote Engineering, Inform Opinion and Encourage Innovation. Please have a look at your Area pages to find out what’s planned locally. If there is a topic you are particularly interested in which is not covered, please let us know and we will endeavour to include it in our future programme of events. Also, if you have facilities which may be used as a venue for an event or suitable subject matter, please get in touch.

If you have a little time to spare and are interested in joining the Committees, please also get in touch. We need enthusiastic volunteers. It can be very interesting work, good for developing your skills and also provides some great networking opportunities.

We now have over 10,000 members in the Region. Each committee promotes their local events to the membership of that area using the IMechE’s list server. Please make sure that you keep your contact details up to date!

By joining IMechE you can enjoy the many benefits that membership brings. If you would like to have a membership presentation or professional registration workshop at your workplace, or have a query relating to membership please contact our Business Development Manager Sandra Mulligan on s_mulligan@imeche.org or 0141 221 7156.

The Region is always looking to evolve, improve the things we do and have greater member engagement. We welcome your feedback and participation.

Honorary Secretary
