Back again for 2020 is our annual Careers and Beers event! This event provides an informal environment for students and recent graduates to network with companies offering internships and graduate opportunities. Due to the current circumstances the event will be conducted virtually, using the breakout rooms feature on Zoom. Attendees will be split randomly into different breakout rooms and company representatives will be rotated around each room, giving attendees the opportunity to speak to each company. Company representatives will give a 5-minute overview of the company in each room and this will be followed by 3 minutes of quickfire Q+A from attendees. Although the event is being held online this year, we would like to try and maintain that informal atmosphere, so all attendees are encouraged to “bring your own bottle” (alcoholic or otherwise)!
Companies in attendance:
• Advanced Forming Research Centre
• Babcock
• PhD opportunities
• Scottish Water
• Thales
• Atkins and Chivas.
